About Tamara
Tamara Bedricky burst onto the music scene with the release of her debut album this past year called
"Through These Eyes." She has since received local and national acclaim for her captivating voice and
excellent songwriting. Tamara’s original songs express emotions on heartache, love, and life through her
moving lyrics. Throughout her music career, Tamara has performed in New York’s Central Park alongside
Michelle Branch, was chosen as one of five up-and-coming female artists in the Pantene Pro-Voice music
competition, and then came full circle by performing at the 2003 Detroit Music Awards. Tamara was also chosen
to perform at the 2004 NACA National Showcase, booking over 50 college dates as a result. Since then, her
music has been featured on national hit television shows including the WB’s hit "One Tree Hill" and ABC's
"Boston Legal." The combination of Tamara’s touching lyrics and powerful voice create a sound that demands
to be listened to.
The Detroit native first picked up the guitar at the age of 15 while living in Nashville - finding solace
in music as she struggled to adapt to her new surroundings. "Music has always been the one thing that I could
count on to help me deal with change." Tamara explains. It was in Nashville where she studied guitar and
started performing at open mics. Inspired by artists such as Ryan Adams, U2, Sheryl Crow, Shawn Colvin, Sting
and Lenny Kravitz, Tamara began to develop her own melodies and lyrics fueled by an array of emotions related
to heartache, love, life and detachment. "Many of my songs move away from current musical trends and
highlight what's important in the marriage of music and lyrics," she explains. Her debut album "Through These
Eyes" is a collection of songs inspired by events in Bedricky's life and demonstrates significant growth and
maturity for the young songwriter.
